I’ve read many history books about Hitler, WWII and the aftermath. It wasn’t till I read “Night” that I really understood how people “allowed” this to happen. When a former elderly villager lost his wife to the atrocity and came back to his village to warn others, they thought he was insane and shunned him. Not much different today. Let’s just call it Conspiracy Reality.
