Thank you for the mention, Kate. I’m glad to find more and more people who share these values: freedom of relationships, positive parenting, and owning one’s education.
Can I feel proud of someone I havenever met in person?
I can and I do.
This is the best decision for your son, you and your family.
I promise you will never regret this.
Our children learn so much even without the set aside 'learning time' They just need to be talked to as the person they are, not talked down to, belittled and ignored.
Congratulations! I think you've made the best decision for your son and you at this time. I remember reading a comic where a kid goes to kindergarten for a week and then announces "That's quite enough school for me, I've learned all I need to know!" And I remember feeling that way myself. My dear 7 year old nephew is in his fourth year of full day schooling and he still resists every morning. I love how you've set aside the dedicated time intentionally. I started out always trying to sneak in other work while the kids were working on things but as you said as soon as they noticed my attention was elsewhere they'd stop what they were doing and come to join me in what I was doing. Have fun!

Llongyfarchiadau cariad. :)
Right— I’m seeing this as well. The set aside time is to make sure I don’t neglect doing some basics, and to keep me more focused, really!
What does the last line mean?
Thank you for your encouragement:)
It's Welsh for "Congratulations love"
Sent with tender passion from another home ed mother living in the green green grass of home :)

Reading this makes me wish I could go back to my daughter's early years and change things up. What a blessed time in both of your lives!
J'adore ce texte Kate :)
J'aurais pu écrire chacun de tes mots puisque nous sommes arrivés à la même conclusion !
Enjoy this new adventure !!!
