In the last few weeks, I have been appalled by the overwhelming antisemitism rising, in wake of Hamas’ October 7th genocidal massacre.
The scapegoating and persecution of the Jewish people has long been an ugly pattern of humanity, especially when societal tensions are elevated, like they have become over the last few years. But I naively thought that a generation who learned about the Holocaust from a young age would not embrace this hatred as their own.
I, like so many of you, was wrong.
What was perhaps the most striking was not the Jew-hating Neo-Marxists cheering for the ‘liberation’ of Gazans, by any means necessary, but that a large segment of the Freedom Movement would do the exact same thing, albeit for slightly different reasons.
The freedom movement, who were immune to the mass contagion that swept over many people in the Western world during the last few years, are now largely a part of it.
They say that “Israel” is the new “current thing”. They think that everything was orchestrated to advance the New World Order, by the “evil Zionists” themselves.
To better understand what the hell is going on, I spoke with Norman Fenton, a prominent figure in the freedom movement, who spent the last three years fighting the increasing authoritarianism, while noticing a disturbing trend of antisemitism veiled as anti-zionism among covid dissidents.
Norman is a professor Emeritus of Risk who specializes in probabilistic reasoning. Using his skills as a mathematician in analyzing data, Norman has put his energy into combating the Covid regime, UN SDGS, the Great Reset, and other top-down illiberal agendas; dispelling propaganda and lies by doing the math.
Norman and I discussed his powerful personal essay, and a five-part series he co-authored on Antisemitism in the Freedom Movement.
“As concerned as I already was about the latent antisemitism masquerading as anti-Zionism, nothing prepared me for the shock of discovering how widespread this antisemitism was within the freedom movement following the devasting Hamas attack against Israel on 7 October. In one day alone Hamas massacred over 1300 civilians and took over 200 hostage – mostly women and children. The Hamas terrorists live-streamed much of the slaughter, which included the sadistic murder of many children and babies, and even a 90-year old Holocaust survivor Gina Smiatich, who was dragged out of a shelter in her own home in Kibbutz Kissufim, taken to her living room, forced to kneel and then shot in the back of her head. The level of barbarity exceeded that of the Nazis.” - Norman Fenton
Norman is also the son of Ben Finkelstein, a Holocaust survivor from Poland – the sole survivor from his large family after he escaped the Lodz ghetto in 1940. On his mother’s side, his grandfather was born in Jerusalem in 1891, then part of the Ottoman Empire, whose family were forced to leave Palestine after one of the many Arab riots and pogroms against Jews several years before Israel’s independence in 1948.
Norman and his wife’s family both have multigenerational roots in Palestine, and the region now known as Israel. His personal background and firsthand knowledge of history in the Middle East gives us a really informed perspective of the momentous events unfolding in the world.
This conversation with Norman Fenton will help you understand why the covid skeptics are taking part in the mass contagion; in the scapegoating of the Jews. They key involves a very old lie they have swallowed, among other things we explore in the podcast.
To anyone confused about the big picture, this discussion may have you questioning your premises, and learning hidden things about the nature of humanity. By exposing the underlying mechanisms that keep us trapped in patterns that undermine our ability to see clearly, we can break free of the myths and misconceptions that ultimately blind us to the real threats to our liberty, and to Western Civilization itself.

I know many of you feel the same as we do, and like in March of 2020, many of you are afraid take a stand against the scapegoating mob, which now, ironically, involves many in the so-called Freedom Movement.
But your voice is needed.
I know I will be speaking about this. I hope many of you will join me. We will be doing much more work on this, including podcasts, written work and videos.
Specifically, we will be doing deep dives about one of the most important philosophical idea to have emerged in the aftermath of the horrors of the 20th century: René Girard’s theory about mimetic desire and scapegoating.
Born on Christmas day in 1923, René Girard witnessed the horrific rise of the Third Reich from his native France.
In one of his seminal books, The One by Whom Scandal Comes, written shortly before his death in 2015, nine days before the Jihadist massacre at the Bataclan in Paris, he wrote:
Girard’s The One by Whom Scandal Comes, is a book that everyone should be reading right now.

My friend, Barry Brownstein, recommended your writing to me and I’m glad I read this particular piece here. I have felt particularly alone as I’ve watched anti-semitism explode over the last few weeks…as alone as I felt when I tried to speak rationality during Covid hysteria. I’m grateful for your voice, in part, because it’s nice to know that I’m not alone.
Powerful Kate. Thank you.
